After the death
of her husband Samuel Dallas Houston, Sarah would help her brother the
sheriff by cooking for the prisoners of Hot Springs County Jail in Malvern
AR. Daniel Bray was the sheriff for two terms in the early 1920's.
He later married Viola Harper and had one child. Daniel wrote poems
and stories about his experiences in WW2 and his only daughter Evelyn
Bray Simms.
