This
is the way I will always remember my Grandmother,
with smiling eyes and a beautiful smile!
As I scanned this image in I looked at
her eyes and began to cry. I miss my Grandmother
so much even after thirty years I still
hear her humming old hymns, and telling
me how much she loved me. I was so lucky
to be her oldest grandchild and to have
had the time to spend with her before
she got sick. Such a lovely person was
given such a short lifetime! She died
of colon cancer in 1975 at the young age
of 61.

If
you look real close, you will notice that
my grandmother made all the clothes for
her children from feed sack material.
As that was about all anyone could afford
in those days. It was during the later
part of the depression and before WWII.
They may have been poor back then but
she always kept them dressed nice with
clean, starched, and ironed clothes.
